Purpose of your role
- Delivering enhancements to applications that meet the expectations of our stakeholders

- Working with Microsoft Visual Studio Team System (VSTS) to manage source code,

- Working collaboratively to assess the potential impact of a range of Leading and managing the delivery of enhancements across all our core applications
- Working with your team to overcome technical challenges and removing blockers
- Promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and learning
- Ensuring your team are meeting the quality requirements as outline in the delivery lifecycle
- Ensuring your team members are agreeing and recording the appropriate hours and story points of development time
- Working with the wider Applications management team as well, broader IT teams, architects, administrators and the team leader to address daily issues
- Working with different solutions
- Taking responsibility for delivering on your individual and team objectives in line with our values
- Previous line management experience – driving performance through team.
- Broad experience of creating codes and development frameworks across a range of applications, with advanced expertise in relation to at least one of Dynamics CRM, Azure or SharePoint Online
- Considerable success as a software developer working with a range of technologies in partnership with 3rd party suppliers
- Working with business users to deliver on their requirements – you’ll need to understand clearly what your customers are using the systems for.
- Test driven development, unit testing and continuous integration
- Providing accurate estimates against organisational requirements relating to cost and development tasks.
- Leading teams working in an agile development environment – using scrum methodologies.
- Having experience of continuous integration – relevant systems would include TeamCity and Octopus.
- Having experience of test-driven development would be desirable - relevant ideas and frameworks would include Nunit, MSTest and Specflow.
- Source control and configuration management.
- Having knowledge of VSTS, NServiceBus and Microsoft Entity Frameworks.
- Refactoring to object-oriented design, patterns and principles.
- Creation of user interfaces using modern web and/or Windows libraries and frameworks.
- Relational database design, SQL, database patching and rollback.
- Holding a current developer's certificate
- Having extensive Microsoft development experience in C# -
- Good knowledge of best practices for .NET development
- messaging, especially MSMQ
