About the Role
You’ll be working in the Customer Profile & Identity Platform, aligned to dedicated agile teams. Working across projects with business stakeholders at ASOS, you will elicit requirements and define innovative and friction-free tech solutions, enabling ASOS to provide a seamless, secure, sign up and login process. We’ve got a mixture of large, exciting projects and space to innovate within the platform that are critical to the commercial success of ASOS, so it's a great time to join the team!
Business analysis is about more than just gathering requirements; at ASOS, you have a real opportunity to shape your team's strategy. As part of our DNA, not only do we encourage everyone to "look through our customer's eyes", exploring ways to improve the general customer experience, but we also treat quality as a first-class citizen, looking for ways to improve how we work and deliver. As a Business Analyst, you'll be a conduit between the business and Tech to ensure we're translating business requirements into new features and benefits for our customers, both internal and external.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Define, prioritise, and manage the team’s development backlogs with an agile mindset.
- Deliver business requirements across entire project and product lifecycles, driving forward new features for our customers.
- Elicit, understand, document, and prioritise business requirements and turn them into accurate user stories.
- Organise, direct, and participate in ceremonies such as, refinement, team stand ups, planning sessions, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and product demonstrations.
- Ensure all functional changes have accompanying non-functional requirements clearly defined to ensure the service is fit for purpose and delivers business value.
- Review the business assumptions on incoming requests so that the requirements and delivered solutions meet both current and future needs.
- Create a collaborative working environment.
- Support our culture by driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.
Who We’d Like to Meet
- Experience working as a Business Analyst within Technology
- Familiarity with backend development teams
- Business process modelling (preferably BPMN) skills
- The ability to understand complex business flows and how changes can impact these
- Understanding of the agile project lifecycle from initiation through to benefits realisation
- Appreciation of the business context you’re working in, considering all perspectives, and being clear on the ‘why’.
- Previous involvement on large scale cross functional change, working closely across multiple technology teams and with third parties.
- An understanding of retail processes with exposure to retail teams and metrics.
Any experience with storing and securing personal data, system integrations and APIs, and Customer Identity Access Management (CIAM) would be extremely beneficial for this role.
