Job Title: Technical Assistant (Electrical)
Location: National Water Sports Centre, Nottingham, NG12 2LU
Salary: £25,000 to £27,000 per annum + Overtime opportunities
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Working Hours / Pattern: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday including weekends when required.

To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now an exciting opportunity has arisen, as we are looking at recruiting for a Technical Assistant to work on our fun, vibrant and open planned sports centre.
As the Technical assistant, you will be required to consistently provide a service on a pre-planned, ad-hoc, breakdown and reactive basis, a professional and effective maintenance, service and repair function to the following system types listed below but not exhaustive as determined by the site-based Contract Manager and Property Technical and Water Manager.
The building service systems and associated Ancillary plant are: Catering equipment systems, Cooling systems, Control systems, Domestic cold water systems, Domestic hot water systems, Electrical systems, Electro Mechanical systems, Gas fired systems, Heating systems, Mains cold water systems, Mechanical systems, Pressure systems, Sanitary systems, Ventilation systems and Water movement systems.
You will help in facilitating a safe, fun, and professional working environment with free access to the leisure facilities, various discounts, and excellent development opportunities.
About You
As the successful candidate it is desirable that you hold the following:
City & Guilds – Part 1, 2 and 3 Electrical Engineering Installation and Maintenance Craft Studies, plus City & Guilds 2391, 2382, 2377, 2391, 2382 & 2377.

You will have previous experience and knowledge of this role and preference will be given to candidates who possess relevant experience of working in a similar size and/or larger more complex sporting or conferencing facilities.
You will be able to demonstrate a thorough and in-depth knowledge of health, safety and welfare procedures, electro -mechanical systems and electro-mechanical equipment statutory regulations and approved codes of practice, knowledge of customer care procedures, excellent hands on skill and ability, adequate skill and competency in the effective use of computer aided systems.
You will also be required to share an on-call rota for out of hours response.
