Job description
Cardiff Orthodontics supplies bespoke & custom-made dental appliances to Dental and Orthodontic practices throughout the UK and further afield as part of the ALS group.
The selected individual will given full training in the production of these handmade and individually formed Dental casts / appliances used in the provision of such Orthodontic / Dental treatments.
Excellent attention to detail is required along with an extremely high level of concentration.
You will be given on the job training to perform various tasks within a busy Orthodontic Dental Laboratory, to include the following:
· Pouring of individual Dental casts in plaster
· Trimming of Dental casts to set standards
· Adhering to set written prescriptions / instructions
· Produce vacuum/pressure formed Dental splints
· Produce other vacuum/pressure formed appliances (Mouthguards)
· Hand trimming of various Dental appliances to set standards
As stated, no specific experience required, we will provide you with full training.
A high degree of self-management is required, working to demands and needs of the business, the candidate will be organized and able to deliver results.

· Excellent practical skills & manual dexterity
· Have an aptitude for working with delicate machinery
· The ability to read and interpret instructions accurately
· Excellent attention to detail
· The ability to work alone as well as part of a team.
· Ability to work under pressure
· Educated to GCSE level.
