Job description
An exciting part time (0.5) opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and skilled, technical specialist to join the Ambient Air Monitoring Team (AAMT)
The post holder will be expected to assist in the project management of several high profile maintenance and operational air monitoring networks, spread over a wide geographical area.
Provide diagnostic and technical advise to team members and third party stakeholders within specific defined timeframes
.
Technical air quality monitoring and maintenance expertise is an advantage, but the ability to be organised, flexible and dynamic is essential.
The post holder will likely be required to travel, and regularly spend time away from home over night.
Liaising with other partners in the Agency is a regular activity, and attending meetings and training sessions is essential.

The team
The post will be managed within the Agency's Ambient Air Monitoring Team (AAMT), within Instruments & Systems.
Experience/skills required
The post holder will be expected to assist in the management and oversight of the team’s various monitoring studies spread over a wide geographical area. This includes initial advising upon a monitoring study’s inception, planning and implementing the logistics of a monitoring study, and overseeing the study through to summation.
Additional responsibilities include providing air quality monitoring technical advice for colleagues and a variety of third party stakeholders within specific defined timeframes.
