Summary
The Technical Operations role is for an individual with strong IT and software skills based at our Amersham office to help deliver and manage our technical services, as well as providing technical support to the Business Operations teams. The individual will be part of the team that ensures the day-to-day running and stability of our custom build Tribute platform plus associated software and apps used by the MuchLoved organisation.
Working with .NET is core to this role, along with experience in deployments in Azure and AWS environments.
Key areas of work will be as follows:
Developing and implementing high quality software
Understanding technical challenges and devising solutions to meet our organisation requirements; scoping, defining and managing the resulting work
Assisting the development manager to implement best development practices including new processes and tools
Maintaining and enforcing quality control over new development – e.g. through code reviews
New Software release communications & training
Communicating functionality & providing training to the MuchLoved team. Articles, FAQs and knowledge building
Ongoing and version release software testing
Live software bug identification and fixing; new release testing in Development and Live environments
Software & Licenses management
Platform Licenses management – MS Office, Telerik, Redgate,
Office hardware & software apps, & login management – e.g. Office 365
MuchLoved team technical support
Providing technical assistance to MuchLoved support team & Account Managers
Troubleshooting software issues and resolving queries
Database management technical support
Live Site technical support
Hosting, backup & security monitoring.
Platform stability and data security work such as access controls, pen testing and incident management
Specific platform technical project work – e.g. FTP data imports
Support for Client on-boarding
Account creation and management on our bespoke platform
API and widget integration set-up for clients
Occasional help-desk phone cover
Key attributes required
The Technical Operations role is ideal for a technophile with excellent software management abilities, strong understanding of technical operations support and relevant prior experience in technical IT roles. As well as being adept at managing and analysing data with excellent attention to detail, you must possess good interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for communicating software content and issues with other team members. You must be happy to work in a small team and be flexible in terms of ongoing role specification as we are a growing organisation constantly updating the service and our processes.
.NET skills are core to this role, as is DBA experience working with SQL to design and deploy ETL across data sources. You must have experience working with both SQL and No SQL offerings such as Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos etc. You must demonstrate excellent object-oriented skills including strong design patterns
knowledge and have a passion for producing high-quality code using best development practices such as clean coding, refactoring, unit testing and SOLID principles.
Hours / Terms
Full-time 9am-5pm on-site
Based in Amersham (between Amersham and Little Chalfont)
Salary depending on experience and agreed hours - a proposal will be provided on application.
Sponsorship Visa can be provided if needed
Holidays – pro-rata 5 weeks plus bank holidays.

Salary: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
