It's an exciting time to join the Strategic Commercial Transformation Programme at AXA UK. We're looking for a talented individual to join the growing team as a Tech Delivery Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract. As Technical Delivery Manager you'll have accountability for aspects of release delivery relating to IT change, ensuring smooth transition and acceptance into the Commercial Operating environment. Reporting into the Lead Scrum Master on the programme, you'll play a key part in ensuring our Blueprint programme is successful.

The Blueprint programme was built on the foundation of transformational changes to the Commercial Operating Model that will deliver the planned GWP, Loss Ratio and Expense Ratio benefits committed to in our strategic business plan. These changes will be delivered through a combination of process, people, organisation, and technology change that will come together to embody the new operating model. Delivery will be structured into releases formed of a number of SCRUMS and focusing on key change priorities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work with technical build teams (Salesforce, Cognizant, AdGo, PCL and AXA) and testing teams (Deloitte & Cognizant) alongside Release
  • Manager to build out the requirements for testing environments and ensure integrated environments are available to fit the plan
  • Manage the development of an end-to-end Integration Testing Suite to support the full scope of Blueprint delivery (incl. Salesforce) incorporating new Azure platforms, SaaS platforms and legacy platforms
  • Ensures the required technical environment is in place to support delivery and production state
  • Liaises with the SCRUMs including vendor teams, IT teams, Product Owners, Testing - supporting delivery of the priority business requirements & business outcomes / benefits
  • Co-ordinate with Test Managers, Defect Managers and Release Manager to ensure the environment suite is fit for purpose and supports SIT, UAT, Performance Test, OAT, Security Testing
  • Responsible for managing the delivery of (the non-SaaS elements) into Production
  • Support warranty and ensure integrated environments can support requirements for warranty/continued delivery
  • Manage all aspects of deployment related to the Release linking in with the Business & Service Readiness Manager

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • Ability to adapt and reprioritise quickly to ensure that any emerging risks are appropriately managed
  • Collaborative analyst with demonstrable experience of engaging with business teams to drive change
  • Exceptional networking and senior stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work with a high degree of independence and exercise good judgement
  • Comfortable to challenge senior stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Maintains up to date understanding of industry best practices
  • Proven experience of working on large scale programmes within financial services
  • Experience with understanding and translating complex business requirements

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
