About Lobster Made Easy:
Lobster Made Easy is a new up and coming brand that originated from Mahone Bay Nova Scotia. Our CEO and Founder Mark Lowe is a lobster lover by trade and came up with the idea of a frozen microwavable whole lobster one day during a cold Nova Scotian winter when he wanted to have lobster for dinner but his wife Corinna didn’t want the lingering smell of lobster in their new home. Being faced with the cold of the outdoors as he attempted to boil water on the barbeque, he thought to himself there must be a better way. Thus Lobster Made Easy was born. Lobster Made Easy produces Nova Scotian Lobster in a format that can be taken home, eaten on spot or saved for future consumption. With our patent Whole in the shell microwavable lobster (as seen on CBCs Dragons’ Den) a consumer can enjoy a fully cooked Lobster in the shell without the hassle of having a lobster boil, regardless of their geographical location or culinary expertise. Our product is a market disruptor in the Lobster industry where we are the first to offer an experience that is easy to use, no smell, no mess and no hassle. Customers can now enjoy a lobster that replicates a lobster boil without having the boil.
Job Description:
As part of the Lobster Made Easy Lobster shack crew, you will be apart of our Mobile food vendor trailer and responsibilities will include:
Food prep
- Shredding Lobster and Crab meat
- Mixing Lobster and Crab meat with our signature seasoning and sauce
- Weighing the meat into correct 4oz bags ready to serve on buns
Cashier/kitchen
- Taking customer orders via service window and ringing them through using our Square payment terminal
- Ensuring correct price point is attributed, ie. Reg. lobster roll or Lobster roll dinner
- Preparing the meal for customer consumption in a timely manner
- Ensure safe protocol is being followed at all times (wear gloves when handling food, sanitizing service screens, follow first in first out rule)
Cleaning duties
- Wiping down surfaces after use
- Cleaning used utensils periodically throughout the day
- Mop and sweep floors in between rushes and at beginning/end of shift
- Clean sinks during closing using a bleach/water mix
Hiring description:
· Ability to work independently or in a team environment
· Food handling course (or willing to take course)
· Punctual and eye for detail
· Customer service experience (waitressing or serving experience preferred)
· Driver’s License and reliable transportation
· No shell fish allergies
· A passion for all things lobster
· Can lift 25lbs
· Working on feet for up to 8hrs
