Our store is currently hiring enthusiastic and energetic individuals who are interested in providing great retail service to our customers. We are looking for team members who are willing to put our customers first and have a passion for providing excellent products and services. Experience in cake decorating is desirable however you will be trained and supervised from day one. Experience of working in a kitchen environment is essential. It can be a fast paced environment but a fun place to work. We just require a keen attitude and a willingness to learnhygeien. Experience of working in retail could be an advantage. Whether you are answering the phone and dealing with queries; taking orders for cakes etc, selling and promoting shop merchandise or providing information to members of the public, you will deliver an efficient and friendly service to customers at all times.

Main Responsibilities

· Preparing the shop before opening

· Ensure that the retail catering complies with all relevant health and safety as well as food hygiene

· Working in conjunction with our back of house team members to maintain the Cake Box standards

· Maintain standards of presentation and check on the quality of cakes leaving the shop

· Ensure that the store is clean and appropriately presented and stocked at all times

· Ensure compliance with all cash and card transactions using EPOS systems, site security and administrations policies and procedures

· Taking cake orders from customers

· Learning how to write messages on cakes

· Boxing cakes and slices correctly

· Cashing up at the end of each day

· Working with a team of cake decorators in conjunction with our front of house team members to maintain the Cake Box standards

· Filling cake sponge with fresh cream and spread so they are ready to decorate

· Learning new decorating skills alongside experienced decorators

· Learning how to write messages on cakes for customer orders

· Decorating cakes and slices for display and filling Display Fridges

· Decorating customer orders

· End of day Kitchen cleaning with all staff, including mopping the kitchen floor.

There are opportunities for progression within the company and further information will be provided at a later date.

15-42.5 hours per week with potential for additional shifts if the candidate desires.
