The new-build 144-room Ibis Bridgwater – opened in March 2021 – is managed by Cycas Hospitality and is Cycas’ first property under the Ibis name by the Accor brand. The five-storey property incorporates a ground-floor restaurant named the Keepers Kitchen & Bar, and meeting facilities.

Job Scope
Housekeeping is what gives hotels the ‘wow’ factor. It’s the moment that guests walk into the hotel and are impressed, then enter their bedrooms and think ‘wow, this looks wonderful’. To deliver a great guest experience – a Housekeeping Team Member will clean and service guest rooms so everything is spotless and prepared for guests.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Follow brand standard and deliver cleanliness required by the company
- Demonstrate ability to proactively prioritise need of the departments and effectively managed resources and time
- Ensure that request made by guests HOD and other Senior Management is actioned.
- Be aware of HK SOP’s and H&S procedures
- Displays excellent team working skills. Work well in the team environment and motivate co-workers to sustain exceptional levels of performance
- Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash/rubbish, etc. May include cleaning of kitchen area, room refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, cups, glasses, silverware, etc.
- Handle and store chemicals in line with hotel regulations and any local legislative requirements
- Greet and acknowledge guests
- Report all maintenance issues on daily basis
- Respond to guest complaints, special requests and act to ensure guest satisfaction
- Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping
- Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures
- Assist with deep cleaning projects when required
- Perform turndown duties when required
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING
- Hotel housekeeping experience, preferably in an Accor Brand, but not essential
- Previous experience of a similar role
