Are you passionate about the right support, at the right time, in the right way for children and young people with Learning Disability and/or Autism who have mental health support needs?
Barnardo's is looking to recruit experienced team managers to work within the Greater Manchester Keyworker service.
This role requires highly motivated and effective managers able to support the establishment and development of a new service working within all 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester. There are 5 team managers in total. Each team manager will lead a team of practitioners to confidently deliver support within the family home, community, foster care placement or inpatient setting to avoid where possible the need for a tier 4 placement. The areas the new team managers will primarily cover are Tameside, Stockport, Trafford, Salford and Manchester City. All team managers can cover any area as required to provide service continuity and support across Greater Manchester.
Have you:
- Experience in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition, Learning Disabilities and Mental Health needs
- Line management experience, supporting teams to be aspirational, achieving positive outcomes with children, young people and their families
- Experience and skills in building and maintaining effective relationships
- Significant multi-disciplinary meeting experience and partnership working
- Detailed knowledge of education, health and social care systems, legislation and frameworks in relation to children with Individual needs
- Safeguarding children and Adults at Risk knowledge with the ability to support team members to respond appropriately to any concerns
