Team Leader
Hours: 35 per week
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum

At Cranstoun, we are always in search of talented and experienced individuals to join our team. A number of exciting opportunities have arisen within our new service model in Sandwell.
We provide a range of services for those affected by alcohol and other drugs across the borough. Our skilled and compassionate people work closely with services users and their families to change and save lives. We combine proven expertise in harm reduction, clinical treatment and recovery with innovative approaches and we actively involve those we help in improving the design of the services we provide. You will be part of the Sandwell leadership team and support the borough manager to deliver a safe, effective and efficient service to our current and future service users. You will line manage a team of engagement and recovery workers supporting them to be able to carry out their role fully. Amongst other duties you will support individuals’ development, support personnel matters, listen, respond and care about staff and service user wellbeing, oversee performance of your wider team, manage the operational flow of your team, maintain high standards of practice and support your team to achieve wider service targets.
The successful candidate will have effective leadership, communication and organisational skills and have the ability to manage change whilst working to deadlines. You will need to be confident working with external agencies and deliver learning sessions to your team and other agencies where required. You will need a key eye for detail and the ability to review data, incident reports and other items which are key to effectively managing a team . You will also be required to form part of the duty management rota for the service.
You’ll need to have good writing, verbal and computing skills and be able to work confidently with all Microsoft programs and case management systems.
The most important things you’ll bring to this role are your experience in the field, integrity, positive attitude, enthusiasm, motivation and ability to use initiative and contribute to the wider delivery of a trauma informed approach. All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS Disclosure. All post holders may be required to work some evenings and some unsociable hours in order to meet our service delivery requirements. The core service operates Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm with additional hours on some evenings.
