Family Time is a vital part of Children’s Social Care. It is so important that looked after children maintain relationships with their family in a safe and supported space. The Family Time service facilitates court ordered family time between children and their families, building relationships with families, looking out for vital signs and writing reports.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Family Time service and to join our team as a Team Coordinator. You will be responsible for planning weekly work plans that meet our service users requirements whilst balancing staff availability and co-ordinating venues. We seek people who can take the time to listen and connect whilst working alongside our practitioners to support Vital Signs for Children. Full training in Children’s Services policies and procedures, including Safeguarding will be provided, and you will be supported by an experienced, friendly, knowledgeable and established team.
The work can be complex and we need the Team Coordinator to be sensitive to the needs of service users. You may have experience of scheduling and bookings from within the NHS, such as at a GP surgery, you may have worked for a taxi firm co-ordinating drivers / service users and locations, you may have experience of linking customers with services and/or venues on a rota basis and are proficient in your use of IT solutions to aid this, as well as having excellent communication skills. You would need to be forward thinking and have the ability to problem solve as necessary. Requirements may change at a moments notice and you would need to be able to keep calm and professional whilst working out solutions.

Here are some of the main duties:
- To support the Family Time Centre Management, managing and delivering business support to the Community Assessment and Family Time Service, to meet business needs and priorities.
- To create weekly work plans by coordinating complex client requirements (bookings) with staff and room availability.
- To providing a range of efficient support and administrative services to ensure the efficient running of the Family Time Centre.
- To ensure the support is provided efficiently, effectively, and flexibly with high standards of customer care, safeguarding and family focus .
