Full-time: 40 hours per week
Fixed-term: 1 year
The University of Edinburgh’s online Masters in Internal Medicine is inviting applications for the post of Academic Teaching Fellow.
The Opportunity:
The role would suit a qualified medical doctor who has enthusiasm for teaching and who would be available to take 1 year out of training to focus on developing their teaching experience and research profile in clinical education.
The successful candidate will have a variety of teaching duties on the programme including:
- delivering teaching across a range of courses in internal medicine subject areas;
- providing quality assurance to our assessments;
- creating new educational materials where necessary;
The role will support students, academic and clinical staff, and involve collaborating with our external partners at the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh. Over the year there will be opportunities to learn more about governance, exam boards, programme administration, whilst developing new skills in delivering clinical education in the online environment. In addition to teaching the successful candidate will engage in research around online clinical education.
