5 hours per week: 13:00-15:30 2 x afternoons (plus any ad-hoc hours as required)
Start date: September 2023
Grade 5 SCP FTE £24,496 - £26,845 (subject to pay body review)

St Nicholas Church of England Primary School are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and organised Teaching Assistant to be deployed across the EYFS area. In addition to this post, we are seeking an HLTA to work under the instruction and guidance of teaching staff, to implement agreed programmes of work with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom across two afternoons per week and any additional hours, as required. This role could be filled by one person making it a 28-hour week.

Duties include:

• Establishing positive relationships with pupils
• Supporting pupils with activities which support literacy and numeracy skills
• Promoting positive behaviour and helping keep pupils on track
• Assisting with displaying and presenting pupils’ work
• Assisting with taking pupils on educational visits

General requirements:

• Experience with, or a love of, working with young people
• An awareness of commitment to equality
• Basic understanding of health and safety
• Understanding and implementing child protection procedures
• Full HLTA Qualification
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
