We are looking for a confident and motivated individual to take on the role of classroom teaching assistant in Early Years Foundation Stage - Reception. Hours of work, 08.30am - 12.30pm Monday - Friday, mornings only.
Our priority is to recruit staff who are ambitious for, yet sensitive to the needs of children, whatever their starting points.
The applicant will have:
- experience and knowledge of how young children learn
- excellent communication skills
- experience of teaching phonics
- the ability to use their own initiative to support the individual needs of children
- the ability to develop positive and supportive relationships with children and their families
- the ability to support the speech and language progress of children from various stages of development
- an understanding of how to support children’s writing
- an understanding of supporting a range of additional needs within the classroom
- the skills to be an excellent team player
- an understanding of the Early years Foundation Stage
