We are looking for an individual with a passion for supporting young people to be successful in their learning.
The Douglas Bader School educates young people between the ages of 5-16 who have a wide range of complex social, emotional and mental health needs.
Applications are encouraged from people who have:
- Experience of and commitment to working in an educational setting.
- An adaptive, consistent and kind approach to supporting pupils to achieve their best.
- Good communication skills and the ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils, parents/carers and multi agencies
- Positive behaviour management skills and are prepared to support pupils individually, in groups and whole class settings.
- A level of resilience and an exemplary attendance record.
- A commitment to training- we care about your training and development and offer regular CPD to enhance your professional skills.
- The attitude of really wanting to make a difference to the lives of our young people
- A team player
This is not a traditional teaching assistant role. This would suit candidates with experience of alternative education and/or youth work.
