Teaching Assistant (Maternity cover)

Pay Scale:
£17,504 to £18,145 per annum

Hours:
32.5 hours per week

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to provide high quality, supportive, nurturing role for the pupils in our school. Flying High Academy, Ladybrook, is part of The Flying High Partnership which consists of two distinct parts: Flying High Trust and Flying High Futures. Flying High Trust is a Multi Academy Trust of 31 primary schools across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Nottingham City. Our Flying High family work hard to deliver the best possible opportunities to our children. Through this partnership we are proud of our achievements and are recognised as one of the highest performing Multi Academy Trusts (MAT) in the country. Flying High Futures provides professional learning internally for staff across the Trust, and externally through Department for Education national programmes. Forming part of Flying High Futures is the Flying High Teaching School Hub, Flying High English Hub, and the Flying High cohort of Inspiring Leaders teacher training.

Your core duties will be:


  • To work in accordance with the school's statement of aims and values and implement strategies within policies adopted by governing body.
  • To provide support for students with emotional, social and behavioural needs
  • Supervising and supporting pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning and play
  • Encouraging pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
  • To assist in implementing pupils' own personal care programme for identified needs during the school day.
