Protocol Education is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Long-Term PPA Cover Teacher to join a reputable school in Waltham Forest. Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) cover across different classes and year groups, maintaining a consistent level of teaching and learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons using existing schemes of work and resources.
- Ensure continuity of curriculum coverage and effective classroom management in accordance with the school's policies and procedures.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing targeted interventions to support individual student needs.
- Collaborate with the teaching staff to share information and contribute to the development of students' education and welfare.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
- Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities, staff meetings, and training sessions as required.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching across different year groups, preferably within a primary school setting.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum, teaching methodologies, and assessment practices.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work with varying class groups and different teaching environments.
- Reliable, organized, and professional approach to teaching, planning, and assessment.
