Part Time Teacher - Durham Gateway (Hair)
Variable hours per week temporary position to commence August 2023 until June 2024
Grade: £23.74 per hour (unqualified), £25.15 per hour (qualified), hourly rate includes annual leave entitlement
Bishop Auckland College is seeking to recruit a Part Time Teacher who will be responsible for the effective and efficient teaching and coordination of courses within the relevant Curriculum area.
The position is for delivery of Hair & Beauty sessions to our Durham Gateway students who are aged 14 – 16.

The successful candidate will be required to possess Certificate in Education (or be willing to work towards within 2 years), a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject, Team Teach (to be achieved as soon as possible), Safeguarding Level 1 (to be achieved within 6 weeks), Level 2 in Literacy (or willing towards within 2 years), and a Level 2 in Numeracy (or willing towards within 2 years).
It is desirable that the candidate will also possess Level 2 Equality & Diversity, a Degree in Maths and QTLLS.
Applicants will also have recent experience of recent experience of teaching and a recent sustained good or outstanding judgements within lesson observations (or have the ability to prove this in the interview process).
This role will include responsibilities within safeguarding and the postholder will be engaging in regulated activity.
