Full time Teachers Assistant for Pre-Toddler Room - 13 months - 20 months Toddler Room- 22 months - 30 months Pre- PreK Room- 30 months and older. What will you help us with? Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children. Observes all rules and regulations at World of Wonder and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children. Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis. Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule. Plans with a member of the Leadership Team the parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations. Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence. Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior. Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds. Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions. Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the World Of Wonder Childcare Center. What do we require? Willing to obtain CPR & First Aid within the first 30 days. Highschool diploma, CDA, AA, and BA (preferred) must be available to work 40 weekly hours Agree to 9:30 am – 6:30 pm schedule for the first year of employment Center Details: Open Monday - Friday 7 am - 6:30 pm Closed nights, weekends and 14 major holidays What is our interview process? Key Responsibilities: Classroom Support: Assist the lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that align with the childcare center's educational goals. Engage children in play, learning, and creative activities that promote their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. Child Interaction and Supervision: Build positive relationships with children, providing emotional support, guidance, and encouragement. Supervise children during various activities, transitions, and free play to ensure their safety and well-being. Assessment and Progress Tracking: Observe and record children's behavior, interactions, and progress, sharing this information with the lead teacher. Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's accomplishments and challenges. Classroom Organization: Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration. Set up and prepare materials and resources for various activities, ensuring they are age-appropriate and accessible. Assistance with Routine Tasks: Assist children with tasks such as eating, dressing, and toileting while fostering their independence. Support lead teacher in managing classroom routines, transitions, and daily schedules. Parent Communication: Maintain open communication with parents or guardians, sharing information about their child's daily experiences, progress, and any concerns. Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the lead teacher, other teacher assistants, and support staff to create a cohesive and positive team environment. Contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance the classroom experience for children. Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety protocols, including maintaining cleanliness, sanitization, and proper hygiene practices. Assist in ensuring the safety and well-being of children during outdoor play, field trips, and other activities.
