The team
As our Talent & Resourcing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative, creative and organisational support to the talent team which supports ITV Studio’s labels. Our passionate, hard working team ensures that we source the best available editorial and production talent, providing a first rate administrative support function throughout the recruiting and hiring process using a variety of resourcing methods.
The role
In this role you will provide accurate and timely administrative support throughout the hiring process of all freelancers ensuring adherence to ITV’s policies and procedures

- To develop production knowledge and a thorough understanding of the end to end production process.
- To understand and implement a proactive approach to off screen talent selection ensuring the approach is compliant and in line with label requirements and embracing ITV’s Diversity and Inclusion agenda. This may include:
- Partnering with production management and editorial colleagues to understand resourcing needs and offer solutions proactively
- Meeting new external talent regularly to build market knowledge and continually refresh talent pools, maintaining contact with as possible prospective candidates tracking their development both inside and outside ITV
- To undertake all relevant processes and procedures in a timely manner, paying attention to accuracy and label requirements.
- Adhering to best practice and working within ITV policies and procedures at all times.
- In conjunction with the team to create, administer and deliver external events that are relevant and in line with ITV branding.
- To create, administer and deliver the talent team north social media strategy. This may involve creating short films and content in line with ITV branding.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Experience of providing excellent administrative support to several managers concurrently, processing a high volume workload within a busy and fast-paced environment to tight deadlines
- Experience of inputting data and managing a variety of documents/systems eg spreadsheets maintaining attention to detail and accuracy in ever changing circumstances
- Experience of assisting with the set up of small scale events fulfilling an outward facing role as well as marketing via social media
- Demonstrable ability and interest in learning things quickly and building required knowledge to manage the end to end recruitment process (freelance and where relevant employee) as well as to work effectively and collaboratively within a team
- Demonstrable interest/experience in a relevant field eg HR, recruitment, television production and media
- Excellent spelling and grammar with previous experience of creating social media which engages and delights a digital audience. This could be a passion project or part of a course of education/training.
- Demonstrable passion for sourcing the best talent for our shows in ITV Studios.
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- Some understanding of employment and GDPR legislation and its application in the context of recruitment and contracting (further training can be given)
- Experience of working in a film/television production environment and knowledge of the roles and skills required to make a successful team
- Experience of supporting recruitment processes using a range of approaches, systems and software packages in a fast turnaround fluid working environment
- Experience of assisting with campaigns, events and initiatives to attract new talent using a wide range of marketing tools including social media
- A proactive team player working sensitively and collaboratively with others to deliver best results, anticipate issues and offer solutions/suggestions for improvement
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and time management and the ability to build positive relationships with external customers and internal stakeholders
