In this exciting role as a Talent Manager within our Talent and Performance Centre of Excellence you will help to shape our internal corporate talent and performance strategy, ensuring we are equipped to identify, retain and develop diverse talent profiles that meet the needs of the business now and in the future. Working within a team of 3 Talent Managers, you will develop insights into the health and diversity of the talent pipeline across the whole organisation and propose best practice interventions to meet our talent strategy and priorities.
You will work closely with the Talent community and Directors of HR, who partner with our business, to develop appropriate solutions and ensure initiatives are adopted, embedded, and continuously improved. You’ll also work with our L&D and Leadership Development Centres of Excellence who have accountability for developing our talent. The team works on a broad variety of exciting, future focussed projects, often in cross functional teams providing an opportunity to interact with a wide range of business areas.
What you need to know & show
- This role will suit candidates who have deep internal talent and performance expertise (rather than talent acquisition or recruitment) and have worked in a Talent centres of excellence or a talent consultancy role
- Ability to think strategically allied with a practical approach to execution and creative flair
- Extensive knowledge of and previous experience in designing and delivering talent management strategies and tools
- Strong data analytical skills demonstrating appropriate rigour, able to convert qualitative and quantitative analysis into insights and proposals
- Influence through grounded confidence and credibility in the presence of senior people, open to feedback and remaining optimistic in the face of obstacles
- Application of strong judgement, comfortable working with ambiguity
- Ability to develop and input into strategies across multiple business areas
- Ability to engage people of all levels in initiatives by being credible and persuasive to stakeholders
