Position Summary
As a Physical Security Systems Technician in our Information Services department, you will support and maintain a complex, enterprise level multi-site network of enterprise grade CCTV, IPTV and Access Control systems that are critical to securing the perimeter of all our CBN sites around the world.

What You Will Do
- Lead in the coordination, implementation and deployment of new security system installations;
- Program, configure and manage security systems within an enterprise level security architecture using the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework;
- Troubleshoot and resolve security system software and hardware related issues;
- Ensure security systems are maintained in accordance with industry standards and perform regular preventative maintenance activities while maintaining an inventory of spare parts;
- Maintain up-to-date system-wide documentation;
- Provide recommendations that will enhance security system(s) performance and present them to various internal stakeholders; and
- Oversee the management and provisioning of security and network cabling through the management of our cabling contractors;
- Various other duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience
- Security Systems Technician (or similar) college certificate or diploma
- Experience in the installation and support of enterprise grade access control systems such as Lenel OnGuard, Lenel FCWnx, AVA OpenPath or other enterprise class equivalent. Experience in the installation and support of enterprise grade CCTV video surveillance systems such as Genetec Security Center, Genetec Omnicast, Avigilon Alta, or other enterprise class equivalent. Experience configuring and supporting integrated security systems implemented on the Microsoft Windows Server platform
- Familiarity with electronic wiring of security hardware components and boards such as Door Controllers, Door locks, ACUs, alarm panels, etc.
- Basic knowledge of networking, network cabling specs and network switch gear
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and practices

- Proficient in MS 365
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proven troubleshooting/problem solving skills
- Self-directed
- Able to multi-task and prioritize within a demanding environment
- Expert organizational skills
Mandatory Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Secret (Level II) clearance.
- Participation in after-hours on-call rotation.
- Valid driver’s license.
