As a Systems Engineering Manager, your key responsibilities will be to build and lead a team of engineers to manage the transition of industrial equipment to electric solutions. This position will work closely with outside vendors and internal teams in order to develop and create Michels vision for the next generation of construction equipment. It is essential to possess strong communication, leadership and problem solving skills to lead a cross-functional team and troubleshoot complex system issues. Critical for success are the abilities to embody the corporate culture in all interactions and demonstrate professionalism and excellence in customer service.

What it takes:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field, and 10+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on industrial equipment electrification.
- Experience with, and considerable knowledge of, traditional powertrain technology (hydraulic, mechanical and diesel power systems) and electrification systems (electric motors, battery systems, power electronics and control systems)
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for industrial equipment electrification such as safety standards, emissions standards and cybersecurity requirements
- Working knowledge in the operation of field-based industrial equipment used in applications such as horizontal boring, tunneling, etc. (desired)
- Experience with system-level simulation and analysis tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, and LTspice (desired)
- A valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record
