About the Role
Specific job description:
- Development and delivery of bespoke Software/Hardware interfaces and embedded systems
- Provide technical guidance for other disciplines such as database administrators and software developers
- Investigation and analysis of complex system level faults
- Undertaking and interpreting engineering drawings using CAD
- Translate business requirements into appropriate technical specifications and derived requirements
- Conducting Integration and Test activities such as FAT/SAT dry runs and tests, and system test plans and acceptance test documentation
- Provide technical input to programme management and commercial staff and support where required in the use of LM and industry tools
- Any additional Programme related tasks assigned that are within area of expertise, competence and skill set.
The role will not be authorized to provide services to Lockheed Martin, which are directly related to business development, acquisition, or sales efforts for a Lockheed Martin customer or potential customer. Any exception to this rule can only be granted, in advance, by the Lockheed Martin UK Ltd, Integrated Systems, Havant representative or legal counsel representative.
Contractor/Agency to be responsible for maintaining certifications, accreditations, adequate professional indemnity insurance and training required to perform their role.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
- Comprehensive understanding of Systems Engineering tools processes and practices. (UML/SysML, DOORS, Jira, SolidWorks etc)
- Ability to support other staff to achieve technical objectives and solutions.
- Solid Understanding of requirements definition and interface documentation required to support the development and acceptance of solutions.
- Understanding of Test and Qualification procedures and practices, especially with regard to requirement sell off.
- Knowledge and experience of interacting with Hardware and Software teams
Desired skills, qualifications and experience:
- Exposure to synthetic training and simulation systems across other domains – sea and air
- Previous experience working with MoD Programmes
- Appropriate Security Clearance
