We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our motivated and creative team in our Sheffield Hub.
We work with a wide range of businesses, including Oil & Gas, Power and Infrastructure including the nuclear industries, process industries and many other diverse sectors of the market. We specialise in designing, developing and integrating systems from project concepts for green field systems in addition to specialising in upgrades and modifications to brown field sites which utilise new and legacy systems.
Engineers are involved in the full life cycle of the projects and they will be involved from design through to site commissioning. We are looking for a forward thinking, problem solving and technically astute individual who can work in teams of various sizes as well as individually. You must be able to apply your knowledge and skills to execute projects, this may be as a team member or taking responsibility for smaller projects on your own.

SUMMARY OF ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
You will:
- Develop and work on complex integrated systems that require knowledge of schematic design, PLC product selection and configuration, electrical design and knowledge of protocols for interfacing to third party systems.
- Be able to think outside of the box to implement innovative and effective solutions
- Adapt quickly to obstacles and changing demands
- Develop a thorough understanding of ITI’s operational procedures and ensure compliance with both internal and external standards
- Evaluate systems and make recommendations for improvements and solutions.
- Talk with customers and understand their needs, communicating the requirements and timeline for their system plan
- Involved in installation and commissioning of solutions on customer sites
- Work with a team to ensure projects are completed effectively and efficiently
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
You will have:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering
- PLC, SCADA, HMI, DCS Experience. Particularly Siemens and Rockwell products
- Minimum of two years’ experience in systems engineering
- Undertaken site installation, testing and/or commissioning of a control system(s)
- Self-motivated and work well independently
- In-depth knowledge of data structures and ability to analyse data to solve problems
- Team working ability in a project environment
- Able to operate “self-sufficiently” on customer’s premises, including production locations
- Comfortable interacting with customers at a senior level in a manner that instils confidence and as a positive ambassador for ITI
- Ability to capture information, analyse it, and articulate an appropriate solution
- Disciplined to deliver a high quality of service while achieving time and budget constraints
- Organisation and multi-tasking skills that strike a balance among validation/verification, requirements analysis, customer interaction and project oversight

Salary: Up to £40,000.00 per year
