JOB SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of responsible, professional and technical work related to the design, development, implementation, documentation and enhancement of the County’s Audio Visual systems in county courtrooms, huddle rooms and digital signage. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.
Responsibilities
- Plans and coordinates activities in order to carry out AV projects and meet county goals.
- Recommends and provides expert advice about the implementation of a county wide AV strategic plan.
- Remains up-to-date on current AV technology.
- Recommends and implements upgrades and patches.
- Maintains a library of control designs and programming.
- Installs, configures, manages and maintains Audio Visual systems at County locations.
- Creates and maintains standard system designs for county AV systems.
- Works in partnership with other employees, departments/offices and external vendors/service providers to deliver cost effective and innovative audio visual systems.
- Develops standards and processes for the selection, implementation, utilization and maintenance of AV installations across all County Departments/Offices.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. (High School/GED and five years of relevant professional experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree.)
- Five years job related experience.
- Knowledge of Crestron, Extron and related technologies.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with the public, vendors, other employees, and elected officials.
- Certified Technology specialist preferred.
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with experience
