APTC SC 5/SO2: £29,364 pa inc LW rising in annual increments to £38,417 per annum
Fixed Term for 24 months
An opportunity has arisen for a Systems and Data Analyst - Graduate/Trainee in the Operations & Innovation team (O&I)
The role will help support the O&I team's work in helping constantly evolve and modernise performance for the Planning function as well as the wider SGO Directorate, improving effectiveness and access to services, in part through better use of information and technology.
The role will be critical in helping set up the programme management for the Directorate's Assurance Board. The successful candidate will need to develop systems and review analysis to ensure the delivery of projects and key Corporate objectives are tracked and reported on in a way that can give senior officers confidence their commitments to our residents and stakeholders can be delivered. Assisting in reviewing, analysing and providing modifications of current processes will be key to the role.
This opportunity will provide scope to widen your skillset in order to interrogate existing and new systems used by the SGO Directorate, as well as input into key reporting criteria, both internally as well as to Central Government.
You will need to have experience of interrogating data and producing reports from that data; be open and willing to learn new skills relevant to the role.
You should have a good understanding of the UK planning system, in particular with a focus on understanding how to monitor and analyse Government performance target returns as well as produce trend analysis of planning application activity.
Requirements
- Excellent mathematical and written ability
- Strong excel, word and PowerPoint skills
- General knowledge of Planning or other built environment services
- Ability to apply differing methodologies to analyse data
