We are a long and well-established name in the data-access middleware market who are also launching an exciting, low latency Trading Platform. We require a Systems Administrator to help us continue moving forward.
Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our team. As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the reliable operation of our computer systems, servers, and networks. You will be responsible for the overall health of our infrastructure and will work closely with our teams to implement and maintain the systems that support our software applications.
This is a hands-on opportunity with the chance to assume technical leadership over a project. You’ll be given the opportunity to make a real impact. No two days will be the same.
Key skills
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage, and networking equipment hosted on-site.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Work with our team to implement and maintain systems that support our software applications.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures.
- Assisting users, remotely and in-person, to diagnose and resolve technical problems and issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and industry trends.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
- Manage and monitor infrastructure including Kubernetes and Zen/Zevenet Clusters, hosted solutions such as Gitlab and other key components.
Desirable
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in a Systems Administrator or similar role
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with infrastructure such as Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of networking principles and best practices
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
