SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR
Job Description: Position Title: Systems Administrator Direct Supervisor: Director, US Network Operations Work Location: Northern Virginia (Work from Home) Position: Full Time This position will be responsible for maintaining the systems and network across the company's multi-data center environments with other assigned Operations personnel. This will include data center operations, surveillance and trouble-shooting and performing system administrator tasks. Please note that various duties may be assigned and/or changed at any time. Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities will include: Install, manage and maintain the data center systems and network infrastructure Install, configure, test and utilize network, systems and other tools Analyze and resolve network and system problems Assure that all systems, network elements, and applications are monitored Be a technical resource to Support and other company entities Technical Skills: 3-5 years of experience in systems and network operations, administration, and/or working in a network operations center. Technical knowledge in the following areas: IP networking particularly cisco router configuration, management and troubleshooting Hands on experience with DNS, VoIP, SIP and VMWare Linux, including Redhat and CentOS (Community Enterprise Operating System) Microsoft Windows operating system Telephony experience - mobility a plus Basic systems operations background Cisco and Barracuda network/firewall/load balancer certifications a plus Other Qualifications: Ability to perform tasks independently but work as part of a team Skilled in handling multiple projects and meet deadlines Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical and technical staff Excellent troubleshooting, analyzing and problem solving skills Good networking experience in a multi-vendor and complex network environment Highly motivated and ability to work in a dynamic organization Highly skilled in developing innovative solutions to handle complex problems Education: Certification from Trade School in network engineering and IP communications a plus. Travel Requirements: Occasional travel within the US may be required. Compensation: Competitive with startups including equity, salary and health benefits.
