Job description
Position Summary:
The IT System Administrator will provide technical support and assistance to resolve issues that occur with the community’s computer networks and systems. The position will overlap heavily with the company’s current network administrator. The goal of the IT System Administrator will be to ensure that the company’s technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Provides technical support, in partnership with current network administrator, in—identifying, investigating, and resolving users’ problems with computer software and hardware—for problems specific to the organization’s computer networks and systems.
· Applies knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems.
· Collaborates with other staff and third-party vendors to research and resolve problems.
· Collaborates with systems and network administrators to explain errors and/or recommend modifications to systems and networks.
· Arranges service by software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products.
· Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
· Ability to travel to communities as needed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience required.
· At least two (2) to four (4) years of related experience required.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical staff and customers.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Superior understanding of computer and networking hardware and software systems.
· Excellent time management skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn a broad array of networking and systems hardware and software.
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Physical Job Requirements:
To fulfill job requirements, employee must be able to perform key physical task for extended periods of time. Proper body mechanics and safety measures as prescribed by Oaks Senior Living, LLC must be adhered to. In a typical eight- hour day, employee may:
· Sit up to eight hours a day
· Support up to 70 pounds
· Lift/carry up to 50 pounds
· Frequently kneel, bend, and reach
