Job summary

71(Inspection & Repair) Sqn is the premier engineering squadron for fixed wing aircraft repair and non-destructive testing for the RAF, able to do so globally. The role is in support of the Squadron Quality Assurance Coordinator (SQAC), squadron documentation owners, our customers and students.

Job description

The Quality System Admin (QS Admin) is to help maintain squadron level information via Squadron Orders, by monitoring higher policy documents and directives. They maintain standards of all Sqn documented information published in use as Sqn Orders, ensure format compliance and authorisation to publish changes, supporting Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and document Owners to complete changes, all to a given deadline. You will be communicating with our customers and former students of our Tri-Service School of Inspection and Repair, from MOD contracted maintenance support organizations to civil servants and members of all three services, to obtain and champion their feedback. Plus you will be supporting the SQAC in carrying out assurance and improvement of an ISO 9001 Certificated, highly regulated and inspected Quality Management System, when called upon in carrying out on site internal audits and supporting Continuous Improvement, by engagement and workshops.

Person specification

You will need good communication skills and an eye for detail.

Experience in the Air Engineering domain. MS Office skills particularly Word and Excel.
