Systems Administrator
LendingMetrics is one of the UK’s leading providers of financial technology, working in partnership with both Experian and Equifax. We offer a diverse range of decisioning software and data services to the online lending industry in both the UK and Australia. We primarily supply services to UK clients, however, we have ambitious plans for growth and are looking to expand into new territories overseas.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join our Tech Operations Team to help design, build and maintain the existing infrastructure of our various systems across the business. With a huge opportunity to grow and take on new responsibilities, we are looking for an ambitious person who has a desire to work in a software development environment.
Systems Administrator Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and alerts - setup and maintenance
- Cloud services - setup, configuration, and management
- Research solutions and provide quotes for new provisions
- Software installs, updates and patches
- DevOps - configuration (deployments, CI\CD)
- Automation - setup and maintenance
- Networking & Firewalls
- Ongoing maintenance
o Server, network, firewall, hardware etc.
o Identifying improvements, performance tuning
o Server migrations
o Encryption and security
- Domain management and maintenance
- High Availability
o Out of hours support
o Disaster recovery; setup & maintenance
o Support with the provision of internal IT Systems
Systems Administrator Experience:
- Windows Server and Active Directory or Azure AD
- Good working knowledge of network administration (firewalls and DNS)
- AWS
- Azure DevOps
- Experience of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
- Scripting - PowerShell
Optional Experience:
- Database Administration

o Performance tuning & monitoring

o Backups & Log shipping (DR)
o Security
o Capacity planning
o Troubleshooting
- Virtualisation
Systems Administrator Attributes:
- Must be highly focused, self-motivated, and disciplined.
- Great communication skills.
- A willingness and drive to learn new skills.
- Strong in analysis and problem solving.
- Has great attention to detail, rigorous in testing and completion of a task.
- A good organiser and able to work under pressure
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
