The Team
The Group Finance division has oversight of the whole of ITV. As a team we strive to constantly improve our ways of working and are currently in the process of a huge system refresh which will make us more efficient as well as fit for the future. The Role
We are looking for an experienced System Administrator (ARCS) to join our busy Group Finance team on a permanent basis in Manchester.
In this role, you will be responsible for elements of the system administration of the Oracle solution ARCS (Account Reconciliation Cloud Service). As the system refresh is rolled out worldwide, you will work closely with finance teams across our business to develop and enhance the reconciliation tool. Reporting to the Group FP&A Director with dotted line responsibility to the Group Financial Controller, you’ll ensure the reliability of the system and the integrity of the data, reconciliation accuracy, internal controls and that audit trails are maintained throughout the application. You’ll manage the accounting interfaces and ensure the timely resolution of all operational system issues.
Key responsibilities
- Administration and control of system user access for ARCS.
- Monitoring & resolution of issues, queries and requests.
- Work alongside the technology team to support system implementations, enhancements, releases and continuous improvement.
- Gathering end user requirements, writing test scripts and performing testing of solutions.
- Acting as the key finance contact for operational issues including troubleshooting, investigating and solving operational system issues as they relate to financial transactions and information.
- Working with various finance stakeholders to identify areas for process improvements.
- Drive best-practice use of ARCS and ensure continuous improvement of the models and processes being used.
- Enhance the ARCS application in response to evolving requirements.
- Assisting in report design.
- Handling of system security, setup and configuration.
- Supporting and managing accounting and financial interfaces including operational system interfaces.
- Working with outside consultants and application developers on customisation and modifications to the existing systems.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as needed.
Minimum criteria
- Previous experience of using ARCS or similar reconciliation tools (ReconNet, BlackLine etc).
- Hands-on experience of enhancing and maintaining applications.
- Ability to write rules and calculation scripts.
- Experience of working with Oracle applications.

Key criteria
- Qualified accountant is desirable, but not essential.
- Strong troubleshooting ability with a desire to improve performance, services and outcomes.
- Track record of training and interacting with finance teams.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Structured and flexible approach to working to balance conflicting priorities.
- Ability to deliver to deadlines and manage own workload.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent collaboration and strong team-working ethic.
