Salary: £23,241 - £26,615 per annum

Location: SRUC Barony Campus, Dumfries or SRUC Kings Buildings, Edinburgh

The Sustainable Travel Officer is a key role in supporting SRUC achieve completion of its; ‘Improving Active Travel at SRUC’ project funded by the ‘Paths for All, Smarter Choices Smarter Places fund’.

The post holder will be responsible to implement and deliver objectives pertaining to sustainable travel outlined within SRUC’s “Climate Change Action Plan – Theme 5 – Sustainable Travel” and associated project requirements involved with this grant funded position.

The post holder’s main objectives include but are not limited to:

  • Support and delivery of the Climate Change Action Plan “Theme 5” Sustainable Travel activities through raising awareness, communication campaigns and events
  • Implement and produce staff and student sustainable travel guidance
  • Improve active and sustainable travel facilities within SRUC estate
  • Engage with staff and students regarding the reduction of personal vehicle use whilst leading alternative sustainable travel methods
