The Sustainability Manager is a key position, based within the Estates Department and working with colleagues across the University to deliver the Environmental Sustainability Strategy. The post holder will function as the specialist on environmental matters and represent the University as required with key external stakeholders on a local and regional basis.
The post holder will act as a key advisor to the Head of Sustainability, the Estates Senior Leadership Team and senior colleagues across the University on matters relating to the environment and sustainability. They will manage the Environmental Management System and generate strategic and practical implementation plans to support the delivery of the University’s environmental objectives. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing behaviour change campaigns and targeted communications plans to embed a culture where sustainability is a core value running throughout all activities undertaken by the University.
