You’ll be someone who can work pro-actively, managing your own tasks, but you’ll also be confident collaborating with others, communicating regularly with senior managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners to enable us to serve our clients effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to our clients.
Our ESG advisory team operates with a goal of integrating sustainability thinking and action throughout our entire business. As part of this team, you’ll provide advisory support to our clients across a variety of sectors, from financial services to natural resources, offering expert knowledge on how they can become a more sustainable, resilient and successful businesses.
This is a great opportunity to broaden your horizons and develop skills and know-how across a number of sustainable business imperatives, ranging across leadership & governance, climate and natural capital, social and human capital, and associated digital and technological innovations. We’re looking for candidates who are grounded and commercial, with a strong sustainability and ESG purpose at the forefront. You’ll be someone with:
  • A minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s degree.
  • A strong, purpose-driven belief in the sustainability and ESG agenda, with the courage and integrity to challenge and be challenged.
  • A curious mind and someone who is a critical thinker, with an ability to contextualise, look beyond the obvious and consider secondary and tertiary factors.
  • Familiarity in data and analytics – the ability to identify key issues lurking within a high volume of information.
  • An attention to detail which is essential particularly in relation to knowledge management.
  • Excellent communication skills who can communicate across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Awareness of the sustainability and ESG regulation, reporting and disclosure frameworks, and associated public policy developments.
  • An advance level competence with MS Word, Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint is desirable.
