We have an exciting opportunity for a Supporter Relations Officer to join our team promoting the work of Dogs Trust to key audience groups.

Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and normally cares for around 14,000 dogs across its network of 21 rehoming centres in the UK and one in Dublin. Dogs Trust has a non-destruction policy and will never put a healthy dog to sleep.

The role of the Supporter Relations is primarily to promote the work of Dogs Trust to key audience groups by providing first-class customer care to potential and existing legacy pledgers; this includes carrying out presentations in the community, managing press and social media messaging and responses as well as organising rehoming centre tours and supporter events. They are also part of the team responsible for organising and attending the national DogFest events with the Dogs Trust Village.

The position is based at a Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre, but is part of the Marketing Department. You'll work closely with the Regional Supporter Relations Manager for your area, ensuring they are kept updated with all developments and work undertaken.

The successful candidate will have experience in a public facing role within marketing, PR or fundraising, a good knowledge of the local area and a passion and commitment to the work and aims of Dogs Trust . You'll be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to develop and prioritise own workload working well under pressure and to deadlines. A full clean UK manual driving licence is essential due to the travel requirement of the role.

Please note that the working days for this role are Monday and Tuesday with some occasional evening and weekend work.

To apply for this position please click the APPLY NOW button. Our application process requires you submit a CV and a cover letter explaining your interest and suitability for the role.

N.B. Due to the nature of this role and its interaction with vulnerable adults and/or children or requirement to carry out financial transactions on behalf of Dogs Trust the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Disclosure & Barring Service (or other relevant body) check before employment is confirmed.
