St Christopher’s Hospice was founded in 1967 by Dame Cicely Saunders and formed part of the modern hospice movement. Proudly celebrating more than 50 years and with a turnover of over £20 million, we provide invaluable care and support to over 6,000 people across the five London Boroughs of Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.
Your new role
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Supporter Care Administrator to join our friendly and hardworking fundraising department. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to communicate empathetically around sensitive topics and enjoy working in a collaborative way.
You will be responsible for providing administrative support across the Supporter Care team, including processing and thanking donations, accurate data entry and other administrative tasks. You will also handle a wide range of enquires through email, telephone and post from new and existing supporters.
Some of the main responsibilities of this role include:
- Answering fundraising enquires quickly and appropriately, helping to ensure supporter engagement is first class at all levels to create long term loyal supporters.
- Batching, banking and thanking donations from a variety of online and offline income streams.
- Quick and accurate data entry and management across our supporter database ensuring compliance with GDPR law and our own policies.
About you:
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about giving supporters a fantastic experience, able to handle a variety of admin processes, is willing to learn and develop, and who is proactive in supporting the whole team. Ideally you are confident, articulate, outgoing with excellent customer service skills, and someone who can communicate empathetically when dealing with supporters and patients.
