Safe Haven Services LTD is a dynamic company providing accommodation, care and support to vulnerable young people. We are currently looking to recruit support workers for full time and part time vacancies across our units in Essex, Southend and Luton areas.
We are looking to recruit experienced and motivated individuals to work with our vulnerable young people who have a range of mild to complex needs including behaviour and mental health needs. You must have a positive and calm approach and be able to manage difficult situations positively.
You will be able to use own initiative as well as follow set plans and routines to meet the needs of the people supported.
The ideal candidate will have the availability to work shift patterns, complete sleep-in and wake-in shifts, and be flexible to work at short notice if required.

We are looking for support worker's who will support people to build relationships, develop skills for independent living. As a support worker you will focus on enabling people to build on their strengths, skills and abilities.
We want to recruit positive support worker who can be team players who are outgoing, flexible and enthusiastic and can support our young people to achieve their goals and aspirations.
Description / Specification
Support workers will provide:
- Support to complete and implement risk assessment and support plans.
- Direct work with young people including community support to Schools, hospitals, Gym and other community activities.
- Positive role modelling and mentoring
- Independent skills development: Support to learn basis budgeting skills, Bill payment, attending appointments, shopping, cooking, and cleaning.
- Keywork sessions / workshops on topics such as: health, placement, substance misuse, budgeting, social and family relationship, healthy eating, sexual health, absconding/missing behaviour, education/training/employment, immigration, house rules, self-care/independent skills, use of monies, appointments, activities, emotional well-being, identity, grooming/sexual exploitation, managing anger etc. domestic
- Completing daily logs, Weekly / Monthly reports
- Domestic task - Keeping the provision clean and tidy
As well as complete the task above, Senior Support Workers will:
- Support and supervise support workers
- Quality Assure reports
- Complete risk assessments
Qualifications and Experience
- At least six months - 1 year experience of working in a social care setting
- Must have NVQ level 2 in health and social care, level 3 is desirable.
- Must be a good team player
- Enhanced DBS will be completed by the service.

Salary: £8.50-£13.00 per hour
