Second Step is a leading mental health charity in the South West offering housing, support and hope to thousands of people with mental health and other problems. Our goal is to inspire hope and deliver change for everybody and every community we work with.
Our High Support Service provides short term move on accommodation and support to people with complex needs, including mental health, homelessness and substance dependency. Our support makes a positive and lasting difference to the lives of our tenants.
You will be responsible for providing recovery focussed support, promoting independence and supporting vulnerable people in developing move on and recovery plans.
You will have a minimum of two years' experience of working with people with complex needs in the social housing field. Experience and understanding of working with people with multiple needs, homelessness, mental health or drug/alcohol dependency is essential.
We work in a recovery focused psychologically informed way (PIE) and you will receive comprehensive training, regular supervision and be part of team reflective practice.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our small diverse team.
We provide support on a rolling rota system including evenings and weekends.
This post does not require you to be a driver as you with be based within one of our housing properties.
