Home Care is evolving.....

The role of our Home carers has changed and is focusing now on four priority areas:- Enablement / Rapid Response / Complex and palliative care / Remote and rural areas

As a Home Carer with Edens care ltd you will work alongside a team of professionals within Edens care ltd. You will be involved in providing specialist care and support to service users across these four priorities, to allow service users to build upon their skills and abilities to live independently, while promoting their rights, autonomy, and choices.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as a care assistant include:

  • Providing care and support
  • Promoting independence
  • Personal care support
  • Medication support
  • Meal preparation
  • Home support tasks
  • Dementia & Alzheimer’s support
  • Stroke recovery support
  • Providing palliative care
  • Learning disability support
  • Mental health support

Requirements

  • Skills and Experience​
  • Previous healthcare or social care experience an advantage
  • Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (beneficial)
  • Care Certificate or care giver practical courses essential and a requirement
  • Driver's licence and car essential for this job

As an employer, Edens care ltd will provide and fund all required training including facilitation and attainment of an NVQ qualifications, dementia, autism and mental health You will also be provided with your work uniform and all personal protective equipment required to undertake the role safely and effectively.

Job Type: Full-time
