Home Instead are one of the UK's leading providers of care assistants and support workers for the elderly with over 249+ offices nationwide and we have a highly successful team of care professionals who visit our clients in their own homes, offering support and assistance where needed.
We are now looking for people who reside in Welwyn Garden City & Hatfield locations or thereabouts, (also Borehamwood & Potters Bar), to join our wonderful team of Healthcare Support Workers & Care Assistants.
We are recruiting new people who are seeking a career in Adult Care, to work in the community and who feel they have the right qualities to become one of our very special and supportive team members.
We are very interested in speaking to people who may not have previously considered starting a new career in Adult Care, but who now feel they have the wisdom, expertise, and common sense to embark on something fresh and new.
We really do not care about your age, or your previous work experience, as we believe life experience is more important. Our job opportunities really suit people who need flexibility in their working patterns, so we are happy to discuss with you your individual availability and see if we can accommodate the hours you wish to work, we will if we can! Mornings, afternoons and evening work, weekends or a mixture are available.
We do require that you have a car - this is essential to enable you to travel between clients each day. We also require you to be able to work on a Saturday and Sunday on alternate weekends.

Responsibilities include:
- Visiting multiple clients daily in the community
- Assisting them with daily tasks, helping them bathe and dress, continence issues, meal preparation, shopping and any other function that the client requires.
- Companionship care, being kind to your clients, making them feel wanted and cared for very important in this new world we are living in.
- Taking time and trouble to ensure that you document activities and important changes in client needs or living conditions.
- Maintain regular communication with line manager and office staff to ensure that everyone is fully aware of what is needed to ensure safety and happiness of our clients
We offer:
- Real rates, averaging £13.00 per hour (basic between £11.00 - £22.00 per hour)
- Flexible work schedule ranging from 10-40 hours per week.
- Receive your work schedule 1 week in advance.
- Options of hourly pay, or 20 or 30 hour contracts ( subject of suitability).
- Mileage allowance of £0.30 pence per mile.
- All training paid - with paid continuous professional development.
- Minimum 1 hour visits to clients homes.
- Consistent visits, ensuring 1-1 relationship.
- Paid holiday and Pension scheme.
