Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours per week

Location: Richmond (TW2 - 3 minutes to Whitton Station by bus / TW10 - 25 minutes from Richmond Station by bus 65 or 371)
Closest Tube Stations are Ladbroke Grove, White City and Latimer Road. Buses are 7, 70, 220, 295, 316.
Shift Timings: 7.30am – 3pm / 2.30 – 10pm

About the role
As a Support Worker, you will work directly with people in their homes and in the community. You will be expected to support people with a variety of needs, enabling them to live the lives they want.
The People we Support in these homes are adults who have high support needs / hands on care. It is a 24-hour staffed supported living service for three to four adults with Learning Disability, Autism, and challenging behaviour.
Type of support required around everyday such as: Food and maintaining, hands on care and practical needs, taking medicines, social activities – going to shops, fish and chips, walk in the park, support with long drives in buses or their personal cars, support with medical appointments, and assessment of ongoing care and support needs.
Duties will include:
- Building great relationships with people we support and the people important to their lives
- Promoting choice and participation when supporting people with daily tasks
- Co-creating opportunities for people to try new things and offering information to support people to make their own choices
- Offering personalised support by working with people’s strength to build their confidence and overcome obstacles with the aim of achieving their goals
- Encouraging people to participate in activities that bring them joy and meaning

To be a Support Worker at Certitude, it is essential you:
- Can motivate others and build their confidence to try new things, meet new people and achieve what they want to achieve
- Are practical and organised
- Are able to make and maintain great relationships and support others to develop their own relationships
- Can use a range of standard and non-standard technology, such as the internet, emails, databases, Microsoft Office applications, a smart phone / iPad
You will be given training, development and coaching to help you feel confident in providing great support and to help you advance in your career.
