Work with Sense and make a real difference to the lives of the people we support and their families. You don’t need any previous experience to become a support worker with Sense and we'll give you full training for our Support Worker roles.
This is a permanent role, working 22.5 hours per week at our Residential service in Kingstanding, Birmingham. As a Support Worker, you will receive £10.75 per hour.
The individuals we support have a range of complex needs, including sensory loses and learning disabilities.
You will be supporting the individuals when taking part in exciting activities such as rock climbing, ice skating, swimming and walking at various locations.
A full manual UK license is requires as we have manual company vehicles used to drive and take individuals to appointments, activities outside of the home and trips.
The shifts vary throughout the week and the shift pattern at this service are as follows: 7am-2.30pm, 2pm-9.30pm and sleep-in shift is from 9:15pm-7:15am.

Desirable/essential requirements for the role:
You require a full manual UK license and must be willing/able to drive.
Knowledge of or qualification in British Sign Language or similar is desirable. ( BSL / Makaton etc.) No two days will be the same
