Job description
Agency work but not as you know it, 36 hours guaranteed, contracted.
It’s easy to think the only thing important to a Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant is the day-to-day of the job. The people you’re caring for.
What difference does it make who you’re working for? It’s only important who you’re working with. The rest is just admin. Isn’t it?
Sure, the parameters of your job don’t change. But that’s not to say who you work for can’t make things harder.
Or easier.
Like, it’d be easier if you earned competitive rates, so you knew you were being rewarded fairly, and wouldn’t be doing better somewhere else.
It’d be easier if your agency understood the job you do, so they’re sympathetic to what you go through.
It’d be easier if they were a smaller outfit, so you’re more than just a number to them.
If the looking-after-people part stayed the same, but the other stuff was easier, surely that’d be worth a leap of faith?
Next Generation Nursing and Care are offering Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants the opportunity to work for such an agency yet with the added benefit of guaranteed hours and earning £11.55 per hour week days and £12.05 at the weekend.
As an agency, we sit alongside two sister companies, both of which are social care providers. That means we deal with (on a daily basis) the same issues you face. We “get it” and aren’t some far-removed desk-jockeys in a city-centre office.
We’re close-knit enough that we’ll know you, your routine, and your home commitments. You’ll get to know us and be able to talk without it feeling like we’re just some uncaring suits.
And the job? You already know it. It’s providing support to those who need it. Building relationships with the vulnerable, some of whom have challenging conditions.
We will offer you a guaranteed, contracted 36 hours per week with your choice of days or nights. You will receive your pay weekly in arrears. 28 days paid holiday per year and all of your training time paid for.
As for you, you need to have 12 months UK experience working in the sector and be a driver with access to a vehicle. You need to be available a minimum of four days or nights per week, you can then elect not to work anymore that week unless you wish to but must work one weekend in four. Please provide a CV and covering letter explaining why you think you would like to join our PLUS team.
