Exciting opportunities have arisen for a Support Worker to join OK4U day service in Swindon. You will form part of specialist team responsible for supporting people with learning disabilities to take part in activities that support skill development and health and well-being.
Your next role
Experience of working in the community or care home with people with learning disabilities is desirable. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a friendly approach and the ability to work in an ever-changing environment. You will provide continuous assessment of service users’ needs and monitor the aims, objectives and outcomes of the Support/Care Plan along with the ability to accurately complete forms and maintain records.
This is a varied role within a friendly and supportive team, and provides opportunities for a variety of training. Successful applicants will be required to attend an induction programme as well as in house, online and bespoke training. As part of this role you will be required to have good verbal and written skills, as well as be able to use computers, including Microsoft package and email.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
