Job description
SiLS are a locally based organisation, providing support to almost 200 service users in Bristol. We are one of the largest providers of long term outreach support in the Bristol area and have been providing support since 2000.
We are looking for a caring and professional support worker to join our growing team providing support in North and East Bristol (one staff member needed in each area).
We work with many adult client groups; learning difficulties, mental health needs, older people, younger people and also some adults with physical disabilities. We don't provide any personal care- just support to improve lives. As we work across Bristol- own transport is preferred. You can also use e-scooters and we will pay your monthly pass.
Experience of supporting adults is preferred, but much more importantly, we would like to employ someone who is passionate about improving the lives of adults with a support need. So if you have no experience, but you think you are what we're looking for then please send us your CV! We would also encourage you to add a covering letter or note to your application, particularly if you feel you have less experience. These demonstrate you are interested (it's very easy to just click apply with your CV) and help us to get to know you a little better.
We are very proud to be an organisation that people enjoy working for. As you'd expect, we put our clients first. But we strongly believe that in order to give the best possible service to our clients, we need to provide the best possible service to our team. So to that end, we will spent alot of time supporting, training and developing you.
We also work very sociable hours(unlike some care related jobs). The working hours are Monday to Friday, during office hours (37.5 hours per week). In return we pay £21 060. The comparison for hourly rate is £10.80 per hour.
Looking forward to meeting you! Justin
