Support Worker
Description:
Due to expansion, we are looking for Support Workers to join our new semi supporting living provision based in Milton Keynes area.
Our well-established company have two semi supported living provisions in the Northwest and are expanding in the Milton Keynes area. This role is an exciting opportunity, as the successful candidates will be with the business from the starting phase of this expansion.
Our company provides semi supported living for young people aged between 16/18 years old, we specialise in supporting young people and assisting them with employment, education, self-esteem, independence, mental health and preparing them for their next step to adulthood.

£10.42 - £13 per hour
Working hours
Days: 9am-10pm
Night: 10pm-9am
Sleep rate - £75
Weekend will be required
Job type

The role will include:
- Completing daily logs, incident reports, support plans, weekly reports and other required documents to a high standard
- Support young people where required, vitals skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, shopping, housekeeping, making appointments etc.
- Weekly staff training
- Working closely with Social Workers and other external agencies to assist the support of the young people.
- Working effectively, proactively and confidently whilst dealing with challenging behaviours
- Safeguard the young people at all times.
- Guiding the young people and tailoring our support to suit the young person’s needs - building self-esteem, promoting independence, CV building, facilitating a positive mental health, strategies to improve mental health etc.
The ideal candidate will
· Be eager to make a difference.
· Have previous experience within Semi Supported living (advantage) or experience working with young people.
· Have a good knowledge of safeguarding and whistleblowing.
· Can provide a high level of support to the young people.
· Health and Social level 3 or above (preferred)
· Strong communication skills
· Ability to work effectively and proactively.
